Reveal

Paul Bucur also known as Reveal, was born In the city of Los Angeles and was immersed and built up by its multi-cultural concrete jungle. The 90's, or what true heads know as the Golden Era of Hip Hop, is where his deep love for the Music commenced. Although Graffiti was the first element that caught his heart, it was under the influence of too many 40's while hearing his homies freestyle that he realized he possessed another gift. After knocking out impressive freestyles  he pursued the pen and pad and created an alias for himself by the name of Drugzy Angeles (he considers this alias his "Evil twin", to this day).

Paul paid dues at local L.A hip hop hot spots in such places like Project Blowed and Elements but never got the recognition he was really looking for. As time went on and the new millenium approached (2000) and He had developed such a demanding meth addiction that it stagnated his rap dreams and slowly began to diminish his life.

The Downward spiral continued drastically from being homeless to Jails, rehabs, you name it. All the while, life always sent people his way, telling him about God. He desired a relationship with God, but the drugs were destroying his sanity even to the point that he, at one time, was convinced HE was God himself!  Thats when things really went for the worse, as his destructive habits began to wreak havoc destroying him and all those he loved.

In 2004 the white flag went up and He finally surrendered his life.  In a desperate cry for help He cried out to Jesus and heard an answered! Paul was healed from his addiction and recovered his sanity.

Ultimately he emerged from recovery, with the new alias Reveal, and a passion towards Christ-centered music. In the beginning he was conflicted, never being a big fan of "Christian hip hop", like most people, with the stereo-typical view of it all being corny or wack. But one day a friend handed him Dirt's second album, "a War to Restore" that really impressed him otherwise. Having already began his own walk in music and ministry (developing a crew called "His Fame") Reveal sought Dirt out for booking. After rocking a show together the two began a deep and meaningful friendship encouraging eachother the arts and their spirituality.

In 2009 Reveal was asked to join "Shadow of the Locust", and accepted after reading the "Locust Papri" and agreeing with the vision. For the SOTL crew, Reveal had a vision to clean up the ranks of the, then, disarrayed organization and weak, scattered membership. He began the task and 2 years later was at the spearhead of the newly formed SOTL group.

As an Artist, Reveal delivers a dynamic flow that is comparable to a a blessed thrashing, his bold voice grabbing you and throwing you around in a splendidly desirable way. The authority in his voice perks the listener up to meet his intelligible and relevant lyrics. Unlike some of his more cryptic brethren, Reveal's vocals are uncompromisingly Christ-bold and he is unapologetic about it. His topical songs are highly concentrated with scripture and apologetics. Yet, like all SOTL emcee's, he is not to be taken lightly in his battle and freestyle skills. Reveal is a beast MC on the Mic ready with his guns blazing to blast away at all demon possessed rappers in these final stages of time.
