Khonsu (Demon Killer) |
San Diego native, Dennis (Khonsu), grew up steep in violence, street life and Hiphop. At 5 years old his father was incarcerated and he struggled emotionally with the loss. Growing up he begin to repeat the destructive lifestyle of his Dad by smoking blunts, taking illegal drugs and drinking alcohol. Khonsu felt the violent tornado inside and took it out on family and the street. This led to nothing but heartache for him and his family as he ebbed in and out of violence and imprisonment.
Through it all the one positive outlet he had was creativity expressing himself through Hiphop. As a youth a Bboy, as a teen a graf writer and as a young adult he began to MC. The tornado was released through the militant rhyme verse he would deliver at house party's, hiphop events and onto recording mixtape features and making himself well-known in San Diego's underground music scene as a 'battle' rapper.
Now married with a beautiful, Dennis has dedicated himself to pursuing God and Holiness. "Finding God has been a true blessing. Without Him I don't think I would have made it". Applying this to his Hiphop roots he has dubbed himself Khonsu ("Demon Killer") and is Still as heavy on the mic as ever! His delivery is unmistakably raw, potent and brutally transparent which makes him a perfect addition to the "Shadow of the Locust" family (which he joined in 2013).
